The ERP we bet our own business on.
QuickThink ERP is a modern, multi-tenant cloud ERP for the UK public sector. We run our entire company on it. So does our launch design partner.
Finance, procurement, HR and payroll in a single modern platform — built and maintained by the team that's been running other people's ERPs for two decades.
Cohort 1 design partners work directly with the team building the product — shaping finance workflows, procurement controls and the public-sector reporting model before general availability.

We don't just demo QuickThink ERP. We run our payroll on it.
Every month, real people get paid, real suppliers get settled and every entry is locked into a tamper-evident audit trail — on the exact platform we're offering you. We had to trust it with our own business before we asked anyone to trust it with theirs.
Real payroll, every month
LGPS and TPS pensions calculated, BACS payments raised, posted straight to the ledger.
Real suppliers, settled
Invoices three-way matched, commitments accounted, payments transmitted — for real money.
Real audit, every entry
Every transaction locked into a cryptographic, tamper-evident trail. No one rewrites history.
We've been hosting other people's ERPs for two decades. So we built the one we wished we could buy.
QuickThink Cloud has run Unit4, SITS, council platforms and SQL Server workloads for UK public sector, education and charity customers for almost twenty years. We've watched, up close, every kind of pain you can have with a legacy ERP — the licensing traps, the on-premise upgrades that take a year, the customisation that has to be re-implemented every time you move version, the audit defensibility that depends on a SIEM bolted on next to the database, the integration patterns that still smell like SOAP.
In 2024 we started writing what we wished we could buy: a modern, multi-tenant cloud ERP designed around how UK public sector finance teams actually work — and built on a stack a 2026 engineer would choose if starting from scratch.
We migrated our own company onto it first. We wouldn't ask a customer to do something we hadn't done ourselves. RC1 is the result of that work, and the first cohort of design partners is now open.
Wait — aren't you competing with the other systems that you host?
We still host the leading systems
Unit4, SITS, council platforms such as OPENRevenues, Citrix-fronted legacy systems and SQL Server — running in our own UK cloud for thousands of users every day. No plans to change. The hosting business is our heritage and our home.
About Application HostingWe also built QuickThink ERP
For organisations that want a current-generation ERP without the legacy. It runs on the same UK cloud platform — and our support engineers are the same team who already keep your systems alive at 3am if there are any issues.

Five things you're unlikely to find in your current ERP
Not buzzwords. Code-level capabilities the incumbents either don't have, or only have as bolt-ons.
AuditShield — cryptographic, tamper-evident audit log
Every audit row is SHA-256 hash-chained to the one before it, so altering any entry means rewriting every entry after it. Database triggers reject UPDATE and DELETE at the database itself — not in the application layer an attacker reaches first — and the chain head is signed and anchored to write-once storage under separate credentials. Even a privileged DBA who rewrote a row and recomputed every hash would diverge from the anchor. That's the one tamper a bolt-on SIEM never catches.
- Hash-chained per entry — change one row and every following hash no longer reconciles.
- UPDATE and DELETE rejected at the database, not the application layer.
- Chain head anchored to write-once storage under separate credentials — beyond any DBA's reach.
- Correlation IDs across every API call, queue message and webhook.
Each row's hash seals the one before it — and the chain head is anchored outside the database, so any rewrite diverges from the anchor.
Declarative GL posting — finance that always ties to the subledgers
Every posting rule lives in YAML. When a subledger event fires — PO approved, invoice matched, GRN received — the engine emits a balanced journal mapped by that rule. Same event ID never posts twice. The auditor question 'does finance reconcile to procurement?' becomes a non-question.
- The same event can never post twice — retries and replays are always safe.
- Posting rules live in posting_maps_v1.yaml — version-controlled, reviewable.
- Every journal traces back to the originating subledger event.

Upload a PDF and get back more than a header. We pull the line items — descriptions, quantities, unit prices — so the draft arrives already three-way matched to your PO and GRN, not as a summary you still have to reconcile by hand. Choose your model provider per tenant, with confidence scores on every field. And — critically — we assume the document itself is hostile: prompt-injection tests cover instructions buried in the invoice text the model reads, not just the filename.
- Line-item extraction feeds three-way matching — not header totals you reconcile yourself.
- Tolerance rules clear small variances automatically and flag the rest.
- Tenant-level opt-in, with adversarial prompt-injection tests covering the document contents, not just the filename.

Workflow Designer with simulation
Draw your approval chain in the browser. Set conditions on amount, supplier, cost centre, custom fields — anything. Then simulate it before go-live with a test scenario, and watch which path the engine takes. No more 'I think it works' approval changes.
- Visual designer with conditions, escalation and delegation.
- Simulation runs your real engine against a test scenario.
- Per-document type — AP invoices, requisitions, leave, expenses, all configurable.

UK public sector payroll depth, on day one
LGPS 50/50 section. TPS MCR export. Gender pay gap reporting. Apprenticeship levy. Pay spines and pay awards. Salary sacrifice cycle-to-work. The kind of depth most greenfield ERPs take a decade to build — shipping in RC1 because we built it for ourselves.
- LGPS 50/50, TPS MCR, gender pay gap, apprenticeship levy.
- Pay spines, pay awards, multiple posts, sick rolling year, interim payments.
- Posted straight to GL via the same idempotent posting engine.

Built in 2026, not 2005
QuickThink ERP was built as modern cloud software from the very first line — with the security, control and integration a finance team expects today, instead of bolted onto a decades-old core.
Everything orbits a single, isolated copy of your data — kept in the UK, signed into with your own identity, and reachable only through secure, audited channels.
Single sign-on, your way
Staff log in with your existing Microsoft, Google or Okta accounts — with multi-factor security and your own access policies enforced.
Your data stays in the UK
Hosted in Microsoft Azure's UK data centres, never shipped offshore — a clean answer to any data-sovereignty question.
Built as cloud software
A true SaaS product from the ground up: nothing to install, no annual upgrade projects, and new features arrive automatically.
Security and audit built in
Bank-grade protection and a tamper-evident audit trail behind every transaction, ready for the toughest public-sector review.
Control to the last detail
Decide exactly who can see and do what — down to individual cost centres and projects — with segregation-of-duties checks as standard.
Connects to what you run
Modern, secure integrations let information flow between your systems without manual re-keying.
Your data is always yours
Full access and export on demand, with no proprietary lock-in if your needs ever change.
Engineered to scale
The same modern technology behind today's leading cloud platforms, ready to grow as you do.
The Checklist Your RFP Asks For
Designed around what public sector and regulated buyers actually scrutinise. No vague reassurances — specific mechanisms with the receipts behind them.
Multi-factor Authentication
TOTP via authenticator apps, email OTP, and one-time backup codes. Forced enrolment on first login.
Single Sign-On
OIDC with Azure AD, Google Workspace, Okta and Generic OIDC. Group-to-role mapping and auto-provisioning.
Granular Permissions
474 permission constants enforced at the API. 11 system roles, plus full custom roles per tenant.
Segregation of Duties
14 seeded SoD rules across Finance, Procurement, AP, AR, HR and Payroll, with exception workflow.
AuditShield
SHA-256 hash-chained audit log; triggers reject UPDATE and DELETE, and the chain head is anchored to write-once storage beyond any DBA's reach.
Row-level Data Permissions
Restrict visibility by user attributes — by cost centre, project, business unit or any custom dimension.
Supplier Bank Cool-off
Bank-detail changes enter a cool-off window before payments release. Built-in protection against APP fraud.
Full GDPR Module
DSAR workflow, erasure log, ROPA, DPIA, breach register, lawful basis CRUD, retention policies, consent.
UK Data Residency
Azure UK South. Same regional pattern that already runs our hosted Unit4, SITS and council workloads.
Idempotent Integration Surface
X-Idempotency-Key middleware and inbound webhook replay safety. No silent double-postings, ever.
10 founding organisations. Direct line to the team that builds it.
We are deliberately constraining the first cohort. Real depth of relationship with each partner beats hundreds of arms-length pilots — and it's how a new ERP earns the trust to grow.
Direct line to engineering
Slack channel, fortnightly review with the product team, your bugs and asks at the top of the queue.
Roadmap input
What we ship in the next four quarters is shaped by what design partners actually need.
Founding-partner pricing
Locked through general availability. You don't get penalised for backing us early — your founding rate stays in place as we grow.
Real implementation feedback inside the first two months. A reference quote at GA. Permission to talk about how we worked together when you're ready.
Tell us about your organisation and current ERP. We come back within two working days.
What's Done, What's Next, What We Won't Do
Most ERP vendors hide their roadmap behind an NDA. We don't — partly because we think it's the right thing to do, and partly because we'd rather lose a deal early than lose a customer mid-implementation.

The Things People Actually Ask Us
Answered honestly — including the awkward ones.
- We deliberately limit the first cohort to 10 founding organisations so we can give each one real depth of attention. QuickThink Cloud runs its own UK operation on QuickThink ERP today, which means our engineering team feels every defect before any customer does. If you want to be part of shaping the platform — and lock in founding-partner pricing — now is the moment. If you want to wait for hundreds of reference customers, that's reasonable too; we'll be here.
Ready to see the ERP we run our own business on?
Apply for the design partner programme or book a 30-minute walkthrough. Either way, we come back within two working days — and you talk to engineers, not a sales script.
